The NSWGFA Annual General Meeting was held 21 st & 22 nd July 2007 at Gerrigong, the following motions were carried and are now incorporated in the NSWGFA By-Laws:
Points for the Tag & Release of Yellowtail Kingfish have been reduced from 250 to 25 points as of 21 st July 2007.
BILLFISH ONLY TAGS

Anglers must use the “Billfish Tag” to tag all billfish species. This is the only tag that will be recognised for billfish in any tournament, competition, pointscore and trophy.
The “Billfish Tag” is for Billfish only pointscore i.e. no other species.
What Tag is That?

1. SMALL PELAGIC TAG – pelagic species under 80cm
2. LARGE PELAGIC TAG – pelagic species over 80cm
3. STEEL HARD SHARK TAG
4. BILLFISH ONLY TAG
DID YOU KNOW?
There appears to have been some confusion with regard to the GFAA 10 to 1, 15 to 1, 20 to 1 and 1000lb Clubs.
Anglers can apply for these Clubs even if their capture is NOT an actual record claim, however the claim is treated exactly the same as if it was a record claim i.e. all the same information, photographs, terminal tackle etc. is required to accompany the claim. An Australian Record Claim form which can be found on the GFAA website – you can link from this NSWGFA site – tick the appropriate box eg. 10 to 1 etc.
GFAA 10 to 1, 15 to 1 & 20 to 1 claim cost is: $ 27.50 (incl. GST)
Thousand Pound Club $110.00 (incl. GST)
With regard to the 1000lb Club, you can also apply for an Assistance Certificate for boat crew members ($27.50 per certificate) and a Boat Plaque ($33.00).
